Studying Chinese in China with Anton 10

我(wǒ)在(zài)中(zhōng)国(guó)学(xué)中(zhōng)文(wén)

夏(xià)天(tiān)快(kuài)到(dào)了(le),满(mǎn)北(běi)京(jīng)都(dōu)是(shì)花(huā),很(hěn)漂(piào)亮(liang)。最(zuì)近(jìn)连(lián)空(kōng)气(qì)也(yě)不(bú)错(cuò)。我(wǒ)非(fēi)常(cháng)想(xiǎng)去(qù)旅(lǚ)行(xíng),可(kě)是(shì)钱(qián)已(yǐ)经(jīng)都(dōu)花(huā)光(guāng)了(le)。

The summer is almost here. Flowers are everywhere in Beijing. The air isn't too bad lately either. I really want to do some travelling, but I've already used up all my money!

Sentence Structure:

1.满mǎn+noun, meaning is the whole thing/object, whole place, is full of something…

e.g. 他(tā)的(de)办(bàn)公(gōng)室(shì)太(tài)乱(luàn)了(le),满(mǎn)桌(zhuō)子(zi)都(dōu)是(shì)未(wèi)分(fēn)类(lèi)的(de)文(wén)件(j),找(zhǎo)什(shén)么(me)都(dōu)不(bú)会(huì)找(zhǎo)到(dào)!
His office is too messy; his desk is full of unsorted papers. You can't really find anything there!

2. verb. + 光guāng, meaning is used up or finished. 用(yòng)光(guāng),花(huā)光(guāng),卖(mài)光(guāng), etc.

e.g. 最(zuì)好(hǎo)看(kàn)的(de)东(dōng)西(xī)都(dōu)被(bèi)挑(tiāo)光(guā)了.
