微(wēi)信(xìn), literally "micro message", as known as “WeChat” in English, is a mobile phone text and voice messaging communication service developed by Tencent in China. WeChat provides multimedia communication flexibility and convenience with text messaging, hold-to-talk voice messaging, broadcast (one-to-many) messaging, photo/video sharing, location sharing, and contact information exchange. It is one of the most popular instant messaging and social networking platforms in China.
