蛋挞(dàn ta)=egg tart
The egg tart is a kind of custard tart pastry that is popular in Hong Kong cuisine. It consists of an outer pastry crust that is filled with egg custard and baked. Unlike English custard tarts, Chinese egg tarts are not sprinkled with ground cinnamon before serving. It is served piping hot rather than at room temperature.
